An American Early 20th Century Diamond Solitaire Ring with an Ornate Pierced Scroll Setting

The Old European-Cut diamond weighs approximately 1.20cts. It is assessed as H/I colour, VS clarity. Stamped 14k inside the ring and is of American manufacture. Size N.
This is a beautifully made diamond single-stone ring set in an unusual pierced scroll setting. On each side of the main diamond there are four single-cut diamonds set into the shoulders and also there is carved detailing to the gallery and shoulders. Wear is consistent with age.
This sort of design was loved by the Americans in the early 20th century and its unusual to see something like this in the UK that has made it across the Atlantic.
